Our main program
Fertilization
Our six-step program is the backbone of everything we do. Six visits across the season, each with a different job: knock out crabgrass before it starts, push color through the summer heat, and load the roots with nutrients before winter so the lawn wakes up early in spring.
Weed control comes with every round. Surface insect control and liquid aeration are included free in rounds three and four.

The six rounds, start to finish
Each round is timed to what the lawn is doing that month. Weed control comes with all six.
- 1 Early Spring
Get ahead of the crabgrass
A pre-emergent goes down before soil temperatures hit the point where crabgrass germinates, alongside the first feeding and broadleaf weed control. This round is about timing more than anything else.
- 2 Late Spring
Thicken it up
A second feeding while the lawn is growing hardest, with weed control to catch anything that broke through the first round and to stop new weed seed from setting.
- 3 Early Summer
Build the color
High-potassium fertilizer for deep color and heat tolerance heading into summer. Surface insect control is included at no charge with this round.
- 4 Midsummer
Hold it through the heat
A balanced, time-released feeding so the lawn is fed slowly through the worst of July and August rather than pushed. Free liquid aeration comes with this round to get water and nutrients moving through compacted soil.
- 5 Late Summer
Clean it up
Targeted feeding and a heavier weed control pass while the lawn recovers from summer stress, so it goes into fall dense and weed-free.
- 6 Fall
Feed the roots for spring
The most important round of the year. A nutrient-rich fall feeding goes into root storage over winter, which is what produces an early, even green-up the following spring.
Tree & Shrub Fertilization
Turf fertilizer sits in the top few inches of soil. Trees and shrubs feed well below that, which is why a perfect lawn can sit under a thinning maple.
We inject nutrients down into the root zone in spring and fall, so ornamentals hold their color, push fuller growth, and stand up better to Michigan winters.

Mowing
Same crew, same day each week, so you know when to expect us. We cut high enough to shade out weeds and hold moisture through July, then drop the height for the last cuts of the season.
Trimming, edging, and blowing off the walks and drive are part of every visit. Not an add-on.

Spring & Fall Cleanups
Spring cleanup clears the winter debris, dethatches the matted spots, cuts back the perennials, and gets beds edged before the first round goes down.
Fall cleanup is leaves, beds, and a final cut. Leaves left on a lawn over a Michigan winter smother the turf and invite snow mold, and clearing them is the cheapest insurance a lawn gets.

Mosquito & Tick Control
We treat the places mosquitoes and ticks actually live: the shaded undersides of shrubs, tall grass along fence lines, and the damp edges of beds. That is where the barrier goes, not broadcast across the lawn.
The products are all-natural and pet-friendly, which is the whole reason people call us about it instead of doing it themselves.
